The UK Fashion & Textiles Association (UKFT) are one of the five organisations who recently formed the Alliance consortium, between
the CFE, BFC, London MAS, UKFT and Skillset, working together to deliver a strategy to support the UK’s high-end designer and manufacturing sectors.
The UKFT sits at the core of the market, working ceaselessly for the benefit of fashion, clothing and knitting businesses across the UK. It guides and advises its members on all the essential aspects of running a business and supplying clothing and knitwear to the global marketplace. Through its export division, UKFT Exports, it gives help and advice on how to achieve sales in overseas markets.
A recent initiative has been the launch of the new ‘Lets Make It Here’ database of UK suppliers to the sector. The timing has been perfect, and the Alliance have dovetailed their ambition to launch a specialist sector-specific high-end focused database with the UKFT’s overall database.
