SIBLING is a collective of 3 creative minds: Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery who have together established London’s best-known directional knitwear label. The SIBLING trio all have a strong heritage in design, having gained experience with top names including Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, Lanvin, Jonathan Saunders and Bella Freud among others.
SIBLING’s unique knitwear collections are always eagerly anticipated on menswear day at London Fashion Week with their special brand of humour projected on to the pieces they develop. Collaborations are crucial in SIBLING’s world and the label has partnered with a variety of creative artists, including Pure Evil, US artist Noah Scalin, photographers Axel Hoedt and Thomas Giddings and Brit Art sensations Nobel and Webster. SIBLING’S “Knitted Skull” and matching “Skeleton” leggings are part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and their “Knit Monster” recently took pride of place on the cover of Doppelganger magazine.
Commercial collaborations include The Smiley Company, Cassette Playa and Swarovski, and a partnership with Turkish menswear label Tween is underway. “SISTER by SIBLING” was the brand’s first foray into womenswear. Launched as a unique collaboration through Topshop, it was an instant commercial success.
The SIBLING label has now achieved cult-status and is going from strength to strength each season.
