Felicity Brown
Since graduating in 2002 with an MA in textiles from the Royal College of Art, Felicity Brown has already worked for many high profile names in fashion including Alberta Ferretti, Loewe, Mulberry and Lanvin. Prior to the RCA, Felicity earned a 1st class honours from the Glasgow School of Art, where she won the Royal Society of Arts and Charles Rennie Mackintosh Awards. Her graduation collection was selected to be exhibited at Sotheby’s of London.
Felicity launched her eponymous collection at London Fashion Week in February 2010, presenting an exquisite selection of expertly hand crafted dresses together with a printed diffusion line both of which were immediately snapped up by Barneys in New York and other prestigious retailers. Felicity enjoyed further sales success in SS11 after presenting the collection on the catwalk. AW11 saw a further increase in demand.
Felicity’s stunning garments are influenced by the notion of costume and theatrical flair. Her AW11 collection was enthused by Pablo Picasso’s etching work. Like her previous collections, Felicity Brown has kept Autumn strong and focused, staying true to the label’s identity and vision. Her rapidly expanding raft of stockists include Liberty, Harvey Nichols and Matches in London and other international retailers including 10 Corso Como Milan. At the request of Investec, sponsors of the Epsom Derby, Felicity created a stunning dress for model Erin O’Connor to wear on ‘Ladies Day’ 2011. It drew gasps of amazement from the crowd and media, securing Felicity’s position as firm fashion favourite.
