Christopher Raeburn
Christopher Raeburn is a young British fashion designer known for his pioneering work, creating innovative ethically aware menswear and womenswear collections from reappropriated military fabrics. An MA graduate of the prestigious Royal College of Art in 2006, Christopher launched his label in 2008, utilising decommissioned stocks of uniform and parachute fabrics to create garments which are functional, intelligent and meticulously crafted. Christopher’s designs are proudly ‘Remade in England’ in his small east London production facility.
Christopher’s collections are presented each season at London Fashion Week, Paris, New York and Tokyo. Key stockists across the globe include Barneys, Harvey Nichols, Browns Liberty, Beams and 10 Corso Como. Christopher is admired for his intellectual aesthetics, fastidious attention to detail and ethical stance; a unique approach which has led to several high profile international press plaudits, an a raft of awards and admirers.
A highly sought after collaborator, Christopher recently partnered with Victorinox, owners of the Swiss Army knife, on a capsule collection of outerwear and accessories for AW11. Branded ‘Remade in Switzerland’ to reinforce its local production credentials, the collection was launched to great critical acclaim during New York Fashion Week in February 2011.
