Greco-Austrian designer Schwab began his studies in Berlin, before graduating with an MA from Central Saint Martins in 2003. Schwab subsequently went on to design a collection of womenswear for Kim Jones and worked with denim label Edwin before making his catwalk debut at London Fashion Week as part of the Topshop sponsored showcase, Fashion East.

Critically acclaimed by both press and buyers for his body conscious silhouettes and high levels of craftsmanship (Hilary Alexander calls him “one of a younger generation of artisan-craftsman designers”); after two seasons under the Fashion East banner he had his first solo London Fashion Week show in spring 2007. Marios hasn’t look back since, producing his massively anticipated main line collection, stocked in Browns in London, Maria Luisa in Paris and Barneys in New York. He also produces denim and footwear lines, Topshop diffusion lines and a luxury accessories collection in collaboration with Serapian.

Marios Schwab was awarded Best New Designer at the British Fashion Awards in 2006 and in 2007 he was the winner of the Swiss Textiles Award. In 2010 Schwab was appointed as the Creative Director for the iconic American brand Halston, and he showed his first collection for the label for S/S 10. Vogue described Marios Schwab at Halston as a “match made in heaven, Schwab appears to be just the person to shepherd this iconic American brand back to its rightfully prominent place in fashion history.”
