Since 2003, The Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) has nurtured an impressive roster of international designer businesses including Erdem, Richard Nicoll, Marios Schwab, Peter Pilotto, Meadham Kirchhoff and Mary Katrantzou. These designers have consistently crafted innovative desirable collections, and with the CFE’s support each label has become renowned throughout the global fashion industry. The CFE is one of the worlds leading strategic business development initiatives for emerging designer labels, our team of industry specialists provide designers with a bespoke business incubation programme and high growth coaching.

We are currently accepting applications for places on our prestigious Venture and PioneerProgrammes. We are looking for designers who are the potential stars of tomorrow, Designers who focus on high end or luxury fashion products, can demonstrate sales and a growing press profile.

Venture Programme Our unique two year CFE Venture Programme provides higher profile emerging businesses with an unrivalled package of business support. We adapt to each designer’s ambition and vision for their label, delivering tailored support and bespoke mentoring.  Current CFE Venture designers include Christopher Raeburn, Holly Fulton, Louise Gray, James Long, Thomas Tait, Sibling, Jackie J S Lee, Graeme Armour and Felicity Brown

Pioneer Programme The six month CFE Pioneer Programme delivers one to one business support and expert workshops. An analytical review of the designer’s business is provided, enabling them to devise a longer term strategy. The programme is aimed at high-end designer businesses that have usually been trading for 2-3 seasons and achieved annual sales of between £10-50k. Recent Pioneer designers include Matthew Miller, Craig Lawrence, Eudon Choi, Simone Rocha, Matthew Miller and Hermione de Paula.

Christopher Raeburn shortlised at the WGSN Awards

CFE Venture designer Christopher Raeburn has been shortlised at the WGSN Global Fashion Awards for the Most Sustainable Brand award. Christopher is known for his pioneering work, creating innovative ethically aware menswear and womenswear collections from reappropriated military fabrics.

More than 200 of the world’s fashion elite gathered at St Martins Lane Hotel in London for the official WGSN Global Fashion Awards 2011 Shortlist party, where the highly-anticipated award candidates were made public. 

The winners for all categories will be announced on October 20, 2011 at a gala event at New York’s prestigious Gotham Hall.

Nominees for British Fashion Awards 2011 announced

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announces the shortlist of nominees for the British Fashion Awards 2011.

Amongst the past and present CFE designers, nominees include:

Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto and J.W. Anderson for Emerging Talent Award (ready to wear),  James Long, Christopher Raeburn and J.W. Anderson for Emerging talent Award (menswear) and Erdem for Designer of the Year.

The winners will be announced at the British Fashion Awards on Monday 28th November.
