Pringle of Scotland appoints Alistair Carr as new Design Director

Alistair Carr was one of the first emerging designers to be supported by Centre for Fashion Enterprise. Central Saint Martins MA graduate Carr launched his own self-named label that showed during London Fashion Week for three seasons during which time he won a series of prestigious awards and sponsorships. Carr has since worked at house such as Marni, Cacharel, Chloe and Balenciaga.

CFE Designers at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia

Designers Louise Gray, James Long (CFE Venture Programme) and Marios Schwab (CFE alumni) were invited to show their collections at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in Moscow in the beginning of April 2011. The show was organized with the support of the British Council, Embassy of the United Kingdom in Moscow and Fashion East.

CFE Designers debuts at Bicester Village

Bicester Village and The British Fashion Council have collaborated on the first-ever pop-up store to showcase British design talent. Labels include past and present CFE designers Holly Fulton, Felicity Brown, Jean- Pierre Braganza, Richard Nicoll, Felder Felder and Marios Schwab. Other designers include Jonathan Sauders, Emma Cook and Todd Lynn to name a few.

The idea behind the boutique is to introduce emerging designers to a wider audience and in turn shoppers will benefit from seeing a new generation of designers all under one roof.

The British Designer Collective is only running for six weeks, from 31st March to mid-May 2011.
